Adblockplus - Blogger killer?

Well,

I just found out this very cool firefox plugin, that I can't surf without it anymore. After using that adblockplus plugin, your Yahoo mail will look like Yahoo mail plus, without annoying graphical ads anymore. Your favourite blog will be really ads-free.

The hot debates are "Is this ethical?", "Are we killing the goose?", blah, blah, blah

But the answer is that actually, Adblock Plus gives the user control. If you want to view google ads, don’t filter them.

If you got annoy with chitika ads on my blog, just install that plugin and boom, you can browse Bridge to Nova for ads-free. Trust me, I don't mind. Why?
Guess what, if you got really annonyed by ads on the internet and you love to use this software, maybe you aren't the guy ads company are targeting. It is as simple as that.

Minimize Outlook to system tray

Ever wanted to minimize your outlook to system tray, without leaving window minimize on the taskbar? I've googled and found a lot of sites explaining how to edit registry for that. The funny thing is that, it's not that difficult at all. You can simply click outlook icon in system tray and choose "Hide When Minimized".

That's it! Whenever you minimize the outlook, it would go straight to the system tray, not left on the system tray at all.

Remove program from Add/Remove program lists

After you have uninstall the program and the name is still there in the Add/Remove programs list? Well, you can solve this problem by tweaking a registry value.

1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type regedt32, and then click OK.
3. In Registry Editor, locate the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

4. Each key listed under Uninstall in the left pane of Registry Editor represents a program that is displayed in the Currently installed programs list of the Add or Remove Programs tool. To determine which program that each key represents, click the key, and then view the following values in the details pane on the right:
DisplayName: The value data for the DisplayName key is the name that is listed in Add or Remove Programs.
-and-
UninstallString: The value data for the UninstallString key is the program that is used to uninstall the program.

5. After you identify the registry key that represents the program that you removed but which is still displayed in the Currently installed programs list of Add or Remove Programs, right-click the key in the left pane of the Registry Editor window, and then click Delete.

Click Yes in response to the "Are you sure you want to delete this key and all of its subkeys?" message.

6. On the File menu, click Exit to quit Registry Editor.
7. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then click Add or Remove Programs.
In the Currently installed programs list, verify that the program whose registry key you deleted is no longer listed.

There you go, don't forget to backup registry first, if you're afraid of touching it.

Mozilla's Seamonkey

Most people really love firefox, but if they've heard SeaMonkey, they are wondering " What's the heck? ".

Well, SeaMonkey is from Mozilla foundation too, they use same engine as Firefox and Thunderbird all combined. The aim of SeaMonkey is

.....to ensure that you can have "everything but the kitchen sink" — and have it stable enough for corporate use.

SeaMonkey is formely known as "Mozilla Application Suite".

If you are a great fun of Firefox and Thunderbird, you should really give it a try.

How to choose : "No to All"

I would like to share a small tip about copying or replacing files.. Whenever you have to copy or replace something in Windows, Windows will ask you whether you want to replace the duplicate file or not, the dialog box has only four options available:

Feel frustrated about not having "No to All"? Well .. press shift key and then click on No. This will react as “No to All”. This will save you some time from clicking "No" on the confirmation messages again and again.

P.S. If you are using Windows Vista, you get different dialog box and this problem have been gone already there.

Domain Names : Fundamental of success ?

Well as some of you might notice I have been bloggin with the blogspot.com for quite a long time and then I decided to go with my own domain name.

Why? Because I feel that a good domain name can help an online business become more visible, credible and accessible. And it can also help a person make a fortune. While finding one was very prohibitive, we can be a part of the gold rush, too.

Let's do the math! Over 23 million ".com" names have been registered, and over 22 thousand are being purchased every day. It means that you're more likely to win the lottery than find a good domain name.

Here is a list of record selling domain name:

- business.com sold for $7.5 million
- asseenontv.com sold for $5 million
- altavista.com sold for $3.3 million
- loans.com sold for $3 million
- CreditCards.com sold for $2.75 million
- autos.com sold for $2.2 million
- Men.com sold for $1.3 million
- wallstreet.com sold for $1.03 million
- forsalebyowner.com sold for $835,000
- drugs.com sold for $825,000
- cinema.com sold for $700,000
- Me.com sold for $460,000
- art.com sold for $450,000
- engineering.org sold for $199,000
- fruits.com sold for $160,000
- perfect.com sold for $94,000

Not only that big list, some other domain are trading everyday on eBay from somewhere between $100 to $1000.

Why? Why do these people pay that much just for a domain name? This is because domain is the thing upon which you will build your online business. And like real estate, the location is just as important -- being accessible.
